Have you ever wondered about your own self-worth? I mean, really thought about it. Many people struggle with feeling like they don’t have much worth, and it can be difficult to navigate these feelings among all the conflicting information out there. In this blog post, we will explore different perspectives on self-worth. Today, I’ll discuss just one.
It’s often hard to recognize our own worth because we’re so used to being around ourselves. Anything that’s constantly present tends to lose value in our minds. Take chocolate, for instance. If you see it as a treat, you’ll crave it and think of it as special. My grandfather sold chocolate, and my mom remembers always having it around the house. I asked her if it was hard not to overindulge, and she said it was normal to have it around, so it didn’t seem all that valuable to her. This is similar to how we see ourselves. You are unique, and there will never be another you. Because of this, you are inherently valuable, and anything rare holds more value than something that’s common. We only perceive ourselves as common because we’re with ourselves all the time.
Coffee Note: The world’s largest coffee cup was unveiled in 2012 in Croatia. It stands at over 10 feet tall and can hold 18,000 liters (4,755 gallons) of coffee.
